Buddy the Elf is in the building for our show today!
Some of the dressing rooms in the theatre have been decorated with themed drawings. David (who is in our cast) had his students draw pictures for each room. The themes range from, ‘Animals doing people things’ to ‘Leprechauns guarding treasure’. Pictured above are Kyla, Cat, Hannah, and Bryce amongst their drawings.
Three more shows left! TODAY at 2:00pm and 7:30pm! And tomorrow at 2:00pm!
Friday feature in the Fresno Bee! We’ve successfully covered all areas of promo!
We are in Donald’s Fresno Beehive Weekend Picks! So much art going on in the Central Valley. Come out and support!
FOUR more shows for you to catch us Vikings!
Here is a review from a great blogger, Marc Gonzales. He is a Fresnan on the road to seeing 1,000 shows. He runs a great blog cataloging and reviewing every show he sees, from tours, to NY, to local productions. He sees it all. Check out this review and his blog as well!

Tonight I attended night one of the second weekend of CMT’s production of the world premiere workshop, Yo, Vikings! in Fresno, CA. What is so unique about this production is that it is rare for a Fresno theatre company to be given the rights to this new of a production. Even though it has had previous workshops, CMT has the distinguished note of being the first company to produce the full length, most up-to-date version. After seeing it, the writers (Marcus Stevens and Sam Willmott) picked the right company to premiere their work.

Last week was all about theatre love. Everyone involved with this production has been so enthused the entire process. After a long tech week, we were ready to open on Friday morning to a school show. The kids seemed very receptive to the material. We even heard word that kids were “Yo-ho-ing” on the buses back to the school! How exciting! Everyone from the cast to the crew to the writers realized we had a special final product at hand. There was a lot of love to spread around knowing that all of our hard work had paid off. Trina’s finished costume pieces looked wonderful, stage had been marked, set pieces were dry, and everyone was ready to go for opening!
We had a great welcome reception that brought in some great people into our crowd. Our opening audience was a great start to the weekend because we finally started to realize that there a lot more laughs that we remembered. In every rehearsal process you hit a stalemate when certain things aren’t funny anymore. The crowds’ feedback was a great energy to begin the weekend of shows!
Sam led us in warm-ups for each show, which easily became a favorite memory for a lot of the cast.

Both Marcus and Sam easily fit right in with us crazy theatre folk.
Our post-show Q&A went off really well! Sam and Marcus answered audience questions and also played a few songs that had been cut from the score of the show. It was such a treat to have them here the whole week. We couldn’t love them more!
We thank EVERYONE who came out and supported us this past weekend. We hope to see many new faces this weekend!
